Find out whether a password has appeared in a known data leak. The password never leaves your device: only the first 5 characters of its SHA-1 hash are sent to Have I Been Pwned, the same method used by browsers and password managers.
Results come from the Pwned Passwords database by Have I Been Pwned. A “not found” result does not guarantee that a password is strong.
